CARSTAR, North America’s premier network of independently owned collision repair facilities, announces the opening of CARSTAR Danforth (Tip Top), located at M1L 1C5.
A part of the Danforth community since 1972, Joe Murillo’s father first opened the facility not knowing how invested Joe would become in the business. Starting his career out sweeping the shop floor at his father’s body shop, Joe quickly took to the collision repair industry and hasn’t looked back.
“Growing up with my father having Tip Top Auto Collision fueled my passion for cars from a young age,” says Joe Murillo, owner, CARSTAR Danforth (Tip Top). “My wife Liane joined the business about 22 years ago and we have always been eager to continue learning. The ever-changing nature of this business is what keeps it fun and joining CARSTAR gives us access to resources we wouldn’t have otherwise, helping us uphold my father’s legacy as Danforth’s choice facility for premier collision repairs.
CARSTAR Danforth (Tip Top) is an 11,000 square foot center equipped with the latest in repair equipment. Owned by husband and wife duo, Joe and Liane Murillo, the team is already working on finalizing it’s I-CAR Gold certification and looks to pursue OEM certifications in 2021.

Giving back to their community, whether it is participating in the Wheels on Danforth or supporting Centennial College’s auto body repair program, is a value both Joe and Liane hold close and is excited to continue. As they are celebrating 50 years in business come 2022, both Joe and Liane Murillo look forward to what the future has in-store as they reinvest in their longstanding family business.
